Community Involvement

We love being a part of the community!

One of the reasons why the doctors and staff of Bethany Animal Hospital enjoy the practice of veterinary medicine is the opportunity to work with the people and pets of DeKalb County and surrounding communities. We all live in this area and take great pride in the work we do and understand that without the support of our friends and neighbors we would not have been able to succeed over these many years.

This is why we also enjoy giving back and doing our part to sustain and strengthen our community. Some of our community involvement includes:

  • TAILS Humane Society. We provide free initial exams after adoption and support their annual fundraising efforts.
  • DeKalb Animal Shelter. We provide free initial exams after adoption and offer discounted spays and neuters for those pets.
  • Fundraising and donating services for local Churches, Schools and Non-profit Organizations.
  • Annual participants in the Relay-for-Life Cancer Walk and active with the American Cancer Society.
  • 4-H Event judging by one of our veterinarians.
  • Pet First Aid Classes taught to community organizations.
  • Free monthly pet educational classes open to the community.
  • Annual hosts of Heartland Blood Drives.

In all, we are very proud of our financial and volunteer efforts to support organizations that are important to maintaining Sycamore as such a wonderful place to live and work.
